

Tsavo East National Park
Tsavo east covers an area of 13,747 kilometer square and was founded April 1948 and encompasses a semi-arid region formally known as the Taru desert. Beginning the late of 19th century to early 20th century, British began a concentrated efforts to colonize interior of Kenya and built a railway through Tsavo in 1988. Two man eaters of Tsavo terrorized the construction and a crew led by john henry Petterson short a pair but not before they hand killed one hundred and thirty five Indians and local workers and the railway finally reached to lake Victoria. Tsavo east offers opportunities to see Kenya iconic animals up close and is home of big 5 animals. Best time to visit is from June to October and January to February when conditions of the park are favourable for wildlife watching.
