The mara is a large reserve in southwestern Kenya adjacent to the Serengeti national park in Tanzania. It’s named after the Maasai people who have lived in the region for over decades and continue to maintain their traditional way of life. The mara is known for its incredible wildlife particularly the annual wildebeest migration between July to October.
